Helping YOU to be your dog's best friend!

Welcome to Courteous Canines, we are thrilled that you found us!

Dogs are my oxygen. They are in my blood and are what makes me tick!

I am committed to making their lives happy and healthy.

My goal is simple – to foster harmony between you & your dog.

As a holistic canine behavior specialist I will gently yet effectively guide you and your dog using only positive based training methods. I have had the pleasure of teaching people and their beloved dogs for almost 30 years; and I can say whole heartedly, that each and every dog I have worked with has touched my life.

My own dogs, in particular have been my greatest teachers.

I only ask that you look at the world through your dog’s beautiful eyes and demonstrate compassion. See how challenging it must be for him or her to live in our world, by our rules and have false expectations imposed on them. Listen to your dog, they do talk if you are willing to listen. The truth is - we don't ever really "own" a dog; they own us - our heart, our mind and our soul.

I am here to help you both understand one another. Dogs are magical beings. They offer us so much love, compassion and joy! We owe it to them to help them learn. We owe it to ourselves to do what’s right.

Give your dog the gift of positive, humane & customized training!

Sammy's Story

He had no say in the matter. He had no voice. He would never have a toy, a soft cozy dog bed, or a gentle loving belly rub. A walk in the grass to stretch his body and stimulate his mind – that was not in the cards he was dealt. He was born into a litter that was intended for biomedical research.
