"Helping you to be your dog's best friend!"

Dog's and Leashes

The Top 10 Reasons to keep your Dog on a Leash:

1.) Last year, over 6,000 dogs per year in New Jersey alone, were killed by cars. The number of LEASHED dogs killed, was ZERO!

2.) Unleashed dogs drink contaminated water or poisons and become dangerously sick and/or die.

3.) Unleashed dogs cause over 1,500 car accidents as well as fatalities per year. Drivers try to avoid hitting a loose dog and end up paying the price simply because the dog has an irresponsible owner.

4.) Dogs get stolen! - Yes, even in your backyard. Isn't your dog's life worth it to keep him/her safe?

5.) Unleashed dogs eliminate at will, causing a mess in neighborhoods, a health hazard, and even lead to heavy fines to the owners. * If a dog is not dewormed completely, parasitic worm eggs can be transmitted from feces to humans causing blindness. The later is common with small children.

6.) Loose dogs get into fights with dogs and other animals and can get injured. Raccoons carry the rabies virus and transmit it to dogs.

7.) People can get bit by loose dogs. Lawsuits could arise from your dog biting someone and may require that your dog be euthanized. Evan if your dog was provoked to bite.

8.) Dogs are not born to "run free". That is a myth. They are very happy to walk on a leash with their best friend - you!

9.) Loose dogs give dogs a bad name. Every dog allowed off leash is another piece of evidence for those citizens who prefer that dogs be banned from all public places and even houses.

10.) The leash was invented centuries ago. It's there for a reason - use it!
